Interesting story about how culture collision:
I have recently had a young boy join my grade 4/5 class from Germany. His English is very limited and my German is nonexistent. When he first came into the classroom on Dec. 20th, I was uncertain of how to communicate with Nico and begin to meet the educational needs of this young boy.
Guess what the teacher did?
The iPad saved the day as I quickly found a translator app and we were able to communicate with him through this device.
The technology that we have today is allowing us to quickly overcome language barriers, but is that all there is to culture collision?
