How to invite your student to a class
You have scheduled a class in CORE CONNECT. How will your student know how to join the class?
You may wonder how we make it so easy for teachers and students to join a class. It is because each class is a unique link (holodeck) created for that exact class that you are teaching. When you create a new class and add it to your upcoming agenda or calendar, CORE CONNECT knows that a link will need to be created so that both teacher and student(s) can meet using that link.
Join via the CORE CONNECT Platform: Each class link is created 24 hours in advance of the class. Your Student will be able to find upcoming classes from their dashboard or calendar view.
Once your student views the upcoming class, they will find their unique link to join your class (as seen in the image below).
As we mentioned earlier, each student has a unique link used to join the upcoming class. In order to make joining class as easy as possible, CORE CONNECT automagically sends out an email 1 hour before each upcoming class. Yes, that is correct, by clicking the link in their e-mail, a student can join an upcoming class without even needing to log into CORE CONNECT first!
IMPORTANT!!!! IF THE CLASS HAS NOT BEEN SCHEDULED ON THE CORE CONNECT PLATFORM, A STUDENT WILL NOT RECEIVE THIS AUTOMATIC EMAIL.
IF YOU ADD A CLASS TO THE CALENDAR LESS THAN 1 HOUR BEFORE THE START OF THAT CLASS, YOUR STUDENT WILL NOT RECEIVE THE AUTOMATIC EMAIL.
