CORE Languages has taught languages to working adults since 2007. For years we ran private and corporate language and intercultural training from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, preparing employees and their families for international assignments.
From classrooms to free lessons
Our instructors built hundreds of lessons, exercises and quizzes for those courses. Today we publish that material as free lessons, organized by CEFR level, so anyone can use it, no account needed.
Every topic explains one grammar point with examples you can use at work and at home, then lets you practice with exercises and a quiz. The site is supported by advertising, which keeps the lessons free.
What we believe about learning a language
- One rule at a time. Short, focused lessons stick better than long chapters.
- Practice beats reading. Every lesson ends with exercises and a quiz you can retake.
- Real situations. Our examples come from meetings, emails, travel and daily life, not textbook dialogues.
- Culture matters. Knowing when to use usted or Sie is as important as the grammar.
Who we are
Everyone who has worked on CORE Languages has taught languages or lived abroad. Many of our lessons were written by instructors who taught corporate clients and relocating families for years.
