How pouvoir conjugates
Pouvoir is irregular with a vowel change: peu- in the singular and in ils peuvent, pouv- in nous pouvons and vous pouvez. The future and conditional use pourr- with a double r (je pourrai, je pourrais), and the subjunctive is built on puiss- (que je puisse). The past participle pu takes avoir: j'ai pu. In questions with inversion, use puis-je ? instead of peux-je ?. Pouvoir has no imperative.
