How erzählen conjugates

Present: erzähle, erzählst, erzählt, erzählen, erzählt, erzählen. The Präteritum is erzählte and the Perfekt ich habe erzählt. Because of the prefix er-, there is no ge- in the participle. The Konjunktiv II equals the Präteritum. Use erzählen von or über for the topic: Sie erzählt von ihrer Reise. Where sagen reports a short statement, erzählen is for longer accounts and stories.
