How stellen conjugates

The stem stell- takes regular endings: stelle, stellst, stellt, stellen, stellt, stellen. The Präteritum is stellte and the Perfekt ich habe gestellt. Stellen is the action verb that goes with stehen: you stellen something, and then it steht. With a place, it takes the accusative (wohin?): Stell die Tasche auf den Stuhl. Many important verbs are built on it, such as vorstellen (introduce, imagine), bestellen (order), einstellen (hire, adjust) and darstellen (represent).
