How entendre conjugates

Entendre is a model -re verb. The singular drops the ending in the third person: j'entends, tu entends, il entend (the d is silent). The plural adds -ons, -ez, -ent to entend-. The future keeps the full infinitive minus e (j'entendrai), and the past participle is entendu. Because it starts with a vowel, je becomes j' and you hear liaisons in nous entendons and ils entendent. Attendre, répondre, rendre and perdre follow the same pattern.
