How sapere conjugates
The present is irregular: so, sai, sa, sappiamo, sapete, sanno. The subjunctive and imperative are built on sapp- (sappia, sappi, sappiate). The future and conditional drop the e: saprò, saprei. The passato remoto is irregular in seppi, seppe, seppero. Learn so, sa, non lo so and saprei first; "Non saprei" is a very common, polite way to say "I'm not sure."
