How to use costar in the future

The future is regular: costará, costarán. Use it for estimates and quotes, very common in business: El proyecto costará unos 10.000 dólares. It also warns about difficulty: Te costará al principio. It can express a guess about the present price: ¿Cuánto costará esto?, I wonder how much this costs. There is no stem change in the future, because the stress falls on the ending.

Examples

  • El proyecto costará unos diez mil dólares en total.

The project will cost about ten thousand dollars in total.

  • Te costará un poco al principio, pero luego es fácil.

It'll be a bit hard at first, but then it's easy.

  • ¿Cuánto costará un taxi hasta el aeropuerto?

I wonder how much a taxi to the airport costs.
