Studiare conjugation Italian verb
Studiare is a regular -are verb that takes avere in compound tenses (ho studiato). It means to study a subject or to examine something closely (studiare un caso, studiare i dati). Learning a skill is usually imparare.

How studiare conjugates
The only tricky point is the i. In studiare the i of the stem is not stressed (STU-dio), so it merges with the i of the ending: tu studi, noi studiamo, subjunctive studi, studiamo, studiate, studino. Never write two i's. Everything else is standard -are: studiavo, studierò, studierei, studiai, studiato. Mangiare and lasciare also drop an i, though for a spelling reason. Compare verbs with a stressed i, like inviare, which keep it: tu invii.

- Doubling the i: write tu studi and noi studiamo, not "studii" or "studiiamo".
