How attendre conjugates
Attendre follows the regular -re pattern: j'attends, tu attends, il attend, nous attendons, vous attendez, ils attendent. The d is silent in the singular. Future: j'attendrai. Subjunctive: que j'attende. Past participle: attendu. Attendre que takes the subjunctive (J'attends que tu sois prêt), and en attendant means "in the meantime". Because the object is direct, the pronoun is direct too: Je t'attends.
