How sentir conjugates

Sentir has two stem changes. In the present, stressed e becomes ie: siento, sientes, siente, sienten (but sentimos). In the third person preterite and in the gerund, e becomes i: sintió, sintieron, sintiendo. The present subjunctive combines both: sienta, sientas, but sintamos. The future and conditional are regular: sentiré, sentiría. Preferir, mentir and convertir follow this pattern.
