Scrivere conjugation Italian verb
Scrivere covers writing of every kind: emails, reports, messages, books. It uses avere in compound tenses with the irregular participle scritto (ho scritto). You write to someone with a: "Ho scritto al cliente."

How scrivere conjugates
The present, imperfect, future and conditional are fully regular -ere forms: scrivo, scrivevo, scriverò, scriverei. Only two things are irregular. The participle is scritto, so every compound tense uses it (ho scritto, avevo scritto). In the passato remoto, io, lui/lei and loro use the stem scriss-: scrissi, scrisse, scrissero, while the other persons stay regular (scrivesti, scrivemmo). Descrivere and iscriversi work the same way.

Mistakes to avoid
- Using a regular participle: "ho scrivuto" is wrong. Say "ho scritto".
- Leaving out a before the person: "Ho scritto a Marco", not "Ho scritto Marco".
