How to use alcanzar in the affirmative commands

The tú command is alcanza; the others use c: alcance (usted), alcancemos (nosotros), alcancen (ustedes). In everyday Latin American Spanish, the command most often means pass me or hand me, with an attached pronoun: alcánzame la sal. Negative commands use the subjunctive: no lo alcances. The nosotros form, alcancemos, is a natural rallying cry in a team meeting when you set a target. Alcanza a... with a person means catch up with: Alcanza a Pedro antes de que se vaya.
