How to use resultar in the affirmative commands

Resultar is essentially never used as a true command, because you cannot order an outcome. The forms (resulta, resulte, resulten) exist on paper, but in real use they appear in wishes introduced by que: que resulte bien (I hope it goes well). Treat these as set expressions of good wishes, typical before an exam, an operation or a negotiation, rather than as orders.

Examples

  • ¡Que resulte todo bien en la cirugía!

I hope everything goes well with the surgery!

  • Que resulten bien las negociaciones.

I hope the negotiations go well.

  • Que le resulte provechosa la capacitación.

I hope you find the training worthwhile.
