How tomar conjugates
Tomar is completely regular: tomo, tomé, tomaba, tomaré, tome. Watch the accents that carry meaning: tomo (I take) versus tomó (he took), and tome (subjunctive or usted command) versus tomé (I took). In Spain, "coger" is used for taking a bus, but in much of Latin America "coger" is vulgar, so tomar is the safe choice everywhere.
