How dare conjugates

Dare is a short, irregular -are verb. The present is do, dai, dà, diamo, date, danno. The future and conditional keep the a (darò, darei), unlike regular -are verbs. The passato remoto and the imperfect subjunctive use the stem de-: diedi (or detti), desti, diede; dessi, desse. The present subjunctive is dia. The tu imperative is dai or da'; with a pronoun the consonant doubles: dammi, dacci.
