How to use dormir in the affirmative commands
The tú command is duerme; the others come from the subjunctive: duerma (usted), durmamos (nosotros), duerman (ustedes). With the reflexive, pronouns attach: duérmete, a very common command to children. Negative commands use the subjunctive: no te duermas, don't fall asleep. Durmamos is rare; people say vamos a dormir. In hotels and hospitals, the usted form duerma appears in instructions about rest and posture.
