How to use empezar in the affirmative commands
The tú command of empezar is empieza, usted empiece and ustedes empiecen. "Empecemos" (let's start) is very common at the beginning of meetings and classes. "Empieza por aquí" gives a starting point. Negative commands use the subjunctive: "No empieces sin mí." Note the c in empiece, empiecen and empecemos. With a pronoun, the tú form takes an accent: empiézalo.
