How to use explicar in the present subjunctive
Every present subjunctive form has the spelling change: explique, expliques, explique, expliquemos, expliquen. You need it after expressions of wishes, requests and purpose, such as quiero que, es importante que and para que. It is especially frequent at work when you ask someone to explain something: Necesito que me expliques el presupuesto.
Examples
Quiero que me expliques qué pasó con el pedido.
I want you to explain to me what happened with the order.
Es importante que el abogado explique cada cláusula.
It's important that the lawyer explain each clause.
Te lo mando por escrito para que se lo expliques a tu equipo.
I'm sending it to you in writing so that you can explain it to your team.
