How to use ser in the present subjunctive
The present subjunctive of ser is sea, seas, sea, seamos, sean. It appears after expressions of wish, doubt or necessity ("Espero que sea fácil"), after "aunque" for uncertain cases, and in fixed phrases like "sea como sea" and "o sea" (which is actually a frozen subjunctive). Because sea looks nothing like the infinitive, it is worth memorizing early.
