How to use servir in the affirmative commands

Commands are sirve (tú), sirva (usted), sirvamos (nosotros) and sirvan (ustedes). At the table, sírvete or sírvase (help yourself) is a gracious invitation. In formal writing, sírvase + infinitive means 'please': sírvase firmar el documento. Negative commands use the subjunctive: no sirvas todavía. In Spain, the vosotros command is servid. With customers, the usted forms are the safe choice, and ¿en qué le puedo servir? often comes first.
