How dirigir conjugates

Dirigir is a regular -ir verb except for a spelling change: g becomes j before a and o to keep the soft h-like sound. That gives yo dirijo in the present and every present subjunctive form (dirija, dirijas, dirijamos, dirijan), plus the usted, nosotros and ustedes commands. The preterite is regular: dirigí, dirigió, dirigieron. Learn dirijo and dirija first.
