How to use dirigir in the present

In the present, only the yo form changes its spelling: dirijo, diriges, dirige, dirigimos, dirigen. Use it to say what you manage or lead now, which is useful when describing your job: Dirijo el departamento de compras. The reflexive me dirijo a usted is a classic formal email opening, meaning I am writing to you. Me dirijo a la oficina means I'm on my way to the office.
