Poder in the present: puedo, puedes, puede, podemos, podéis, pueden.

How to use poder in the present
The present of poder changes o to ue in all forms except nosotros (and vosotros): puedo, puedes, puede, podemos, pueden. Use it for ability, permission and requests. "¿Puedes...?" is a friendly request among colleagues, while "¿Puede...?" is the polite usted version. "Puede que" plus subjunctive means "maybe": "Puede que llueva."
