How to use estar in the present
The present of estar is estoy, estás, está, estamos, están. Only estoy and estamos lack an accent. Use it for location, for feelings and temporary conditions, and with a gerund to say what is happening right now: "Estoy revisando tu correo." In Latin America, "¿Cómo estás?" is the standard greeting, and "está bien" is the everyday way to say "OK."

Estamos trabajando en la nueva versión del sitio.
We're working on the new version of the site.
La impresora está descompuesta otra vez.
The printer is broken again.
