How to use dirigir in the conditional
The conditional is regular: dirigiría, dirigirías, dirigiría, dirigiríamos, dirigirían. Use it for hypothetical roles (Yo dirigiría el proyecto de otra forma) and for reported plans: Dijeron que ella dirigiría la oficina. It is a polite way to give critical feedback about leadership without sounding direct. With the reflexive, it helps you think through who you would contact: ¿A quién te dirigirías primero? The g stays in every conditional form, because it comes before i.
Examples
Yo dirigiría la reunión de otra manera.
I would run the meeting differently.
Nos dijeron que Carlos dirigiría el nuevo equipo.
They told us Carlos would lead the new team.
¿A quién te dirigirías primero para pedir financiación?
Who would you approach first to ask for funding?
