How to use ver in the conditional

The conditional of ver is regular: vería, verías, vería, veríamos, verían. Use it for hypotheticals and polite suggestions. "¿Cómo verías...?" asks for someone's opinion: "¿Cómo verías mover la reunión al martes?" It is a soft, collaborative way to suggest a change in a work setting. It also appears with "si" clauses about imagined situations, paired with the past subjunctive.

Examples

  • ¿Cómo verías cambiar la reunión al martes?

How would you feel about moving the meeting to Tuesday?

  • Desde arriba se vería toda la ciudad.

From up there you would see the whole city.

  • Si vivieras más cerca, te vería más seguido.

If you lived closer, I'd see you more often.
