How tener conjugates

Tener is a "yo-go" verb with an e→ie stem change: tengo, but tienes, tiene, tienen, and regular tenemos. The preterite uses the stem tuv- (tuve, tuvo, tuvieron) with no accents, and the future and conditional add a d: tendré, tendría. The present subjunctive follows the yo form: tenga. The tú command is the short form ten. Verbs built on tener, such as mantener, conjugate the same way.
