Repetir in the preterite: repetí, repetiste, repitió, repetimos, repetisteis, repitieron.

How to use repetir in the preterite
In the preterite, only the third person forms change: repitió, repitieron. The others keep the e: repetí, repetiste, repetimos. Use it for a specific repetition: Repetí el examen y aprobé. It is also used for retaking a school year: Mi hermano repitió segundo de secundaria. Watch for this third person change, because it is a common error.

El técnico repitió la prueba dos veces.
The technician repeated the test twice.
Mis primos repitieron postre.
