How to use sacar in the preterite
In the preterite, the yo form changes c to qu: saqué. The other forms are regular: sacaste, sacó, sacamos, sacaron. Use it for completed actions: saqué la basura, sacó un diez, sacamos las fotos del evento. Writing sacé is a common error; the qu keeps the k sound before e. ¿Cuánto sacaste? is how you ask someone what they got on a test.
