How to use sacar in the imperfect

The imperfect is regular: sacaba, sacabas, sacábamos, sacaban. It describes past habits (de niño sacaba malas notas) and background actions: mientras sacaba las llaves, sonó el teléfono. It is also common in memories of what someone used to do for you: mi papá nos sacaba a pasear los domingos. There is no spelling change in this tense. The nosotros form sacábamos carries a written accent.
