How to use sacar in the conditional

The conditional is regular: sacaría, sacarías, sacaríamos, sacarían. Use it for advice (yo sacaría ese párrafo), hypotheticals and reported speech: dijo que sacaría los boletos. It is handy for suggesting edits to documents and presentations, a frequent task at work, and for imagining what you would do with more time or money. With si and the imperfect subjunctive, it builds unreal conditions: si tuviera cuenta en ese banco, sacaría dinero ahí.

Examples

  • Yo sacaría ese párrafo; repite lo mismo.

I'd cut that paragraph; it just repeats the same thing.

  • Si tuviera tiempo, sacaría al perro dos veces al día.

If I had time, I'd walk the dog twice a day.

  • Mi hermano dijo que sacaría los boletos en línea.

My brother said he'd get the tickets online.
