How to use usar in the preterite
The preterite is regular: usé, usaste, usó, usamos, usaron. Use it for specific uses at a specific time: Usé tu cargador, espero que no te importe. It also appears in incident and project reports explaining what was used. Remember that usamos is identical in the present and preterite. With clothes, the preterite describes what someone wore on a particular occasion, such as an interview or a wedding.
