How to use buscar in the conditional

The conditional of buscar is regular: buscaría, buscarías, buscaría, buscaríamos, buscarían. Use it for advice ("Yo buscaría otro abogado") and hypotheticals: "Si pudiera, buscaría un trabajo remoto." In reported speech: "Dijo que me buscaría a las ocho." It is a gentle way to recommend an alternative. Like the future, it has no spelling change, because no ending starts with e.

Examples

  • Yo buscaría una segunda opinión médica.

I'd look for a second medical opinion.

  • Si pudiera, buscaría un trabajo remoto.

If I could, I'd look for a remote job.

  • Dijo que me buscaría después del trabajo.
