How to use intentar in the conditional
The conditional is regular: intentaría, intentarías, intentaría, intentaríamos, intentarían. It is the classic form for advice: Yo intentaría hablar con ella primero. It also appears in hypotheticals and reported speech: Dijo que intentaría venir. As advice, it is gentler than a direct command and suits feedback to colleagues. Pair it with si + imperfect subjunctive for situations that are not real now: Si tuviera tiempo, intentaría aprender a tocar el piano.
