How to use mirar in the present
The present of mirar is regular: miro, miras, mira, miramos, miran. Use it for looking with attention ("Miro los precios") and for watching: "Miramos una serie todas las noches." In conversation, "mira" introduces an explanation, much like "look" or "listen" in English. In Spain, "mirar" also means "to check": "Miro si hay sitio."

Miramos una película cada viernes en familia.
