How to use pensar in the preterite

The preterite of pensar is regular, without a stem change: pensé, pensaste, pensó, pensamos, pensaron. Use it for a thought at a specific moment ("Pensé que era broma") and for decisions: "Lo pensé bien." "¿Lo pensaste?" asks whether someone has considered an offer. Remember that pensamos is the same in the present and the preterite. The accent on pensé and pensó is essential.
