How traer conjugates

Traer is irregular in several tenses. The yo present is traigo, and the whole present subjunctive is built on it (traiga, traigamos). The preterite uses the stem traj- with no written accents: traje, trajo, trajeron (not trajieron). The imperfect is traía, the gerund trayendo and the participle traído. The future and conditional are regular: traeré, traería.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Adding an i in the preterite: it is trajeron, not trajieron.
  • Making the yo present regular: traigo, not trao.
