How trabajar conjugates

Trabajar is a regular -ar verb with no stem or spelling changes, so every form comes straight from the stem trabaj-: trabajo, trabajé, trabajaba, trabajaré. The progressive (estoy trabajando) is very common for what you are working on right now. Pay attention to the written accents on trabajé and trabajó, since trabajo without an accent means 'I work' or 'job'.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Mixing up trabajo and trabajó: trabajo is 'I work', trabajó is 'he/she worked'. The accent changes both the person and the tense.
