How to use trabajar in the present
Trabajar is regular in the present: trabajo, trabajas, trabaja, trabajamos, trabajan. Use the simple present for your job and your routine (trabajo en una clínica, trabajamos por turnos). For what you are busy with right now or these weeks, speakers often switch to the progressive: estoy trabajando en un informe. The present can also refer to a fixed plan: mañana trabajo hasta tarde.
Examples
Mi esposa trabaja de noche, así que casi no nos vemos entre semana.
My wife works nights, so we hardly see each other during the week.
¿En qué área trabajas?
What department do you work in?
Mañana trabajo hasta tarde porque viene un cliente de Chile.
Tomorrow I'm working late because a client is coming from Chile.
