How to use escuchar in the present subjunctive
The present subjunctive is regular: escuche, escuches, escuche, escuchemos, escuchen. It appears after requests (Quiero que me escuches), purpose (para que te escuchen) and doubt (No creo que nos escuchen). It is common in workplace talk about being heard: Es importante que la dirección escuche a los empleados. With para que, it explains why you speak louder or use a microphone: para que te escuchen al fondo. Remember the personal a when the object is a person.
