How to use estudiar in the conditional
The conditional is regular: estudiaría, estudiarías, estudiaría, estudiaríamos, estudiarían. Use it for hypotheses and advice: Yo estudiaría algo práctico. It is also how you talk about what you would study if circumstances were different, usually with si + imperfect subjunctive: Si tuviera tiempo, estudiaría italiano. In reported speech, it turns a promise into the past: Dijeron que estudiarían nuestra propuesta, They said they would look into our proposal.

I'd study something with good job prospects.
Si tuviera tiempo, estudiaría italiano.
