How to use morir in the conditional
The conditional is regular: moriría, morirías, moriríamos, morirían. It is often used in exaggerations (me moriría de vergüenza) and in hypotheticals: sin ese tratamiento, el paciente moriría. Me moriría si... is a common, dramatic way to express strong feelings. There is no stem change here either. The endings attach to the full infinitive morir-. With si and the imperfect subjunctive, it builds unreal conditions: si no comiera, moriría. For the past, the conditional perfect uses the irregular participle: si no lo hubieran operado, habría muerto.
Examples
Me moriría de vergüenza si se enterara mi jefe.
I'd die of embarrassment if my boss found out.
Sin ese tratamiento, el paciente moriría en pocas semanas.
Without that treatment, the patient would die within a few weeks.
Mis hijos se morirían de felicidad con un perro.
My kids would be over the moon with a dog.
