How to use morir in the imperfect
The imperfect is regular: moría, morías, moríamos, morían. It describes deaths as a general situation in the past (en esa época morían muchos niños) and exaggerated feelings that lasted a while: me moría de nervios antes del examen. It is useful in historical descriptions and in stories about how someone felt. Every form carries an accent on the í, and there is no stem change.
