How to use pedir in the present subjunctive
The present subjunctive has i in every form: pida, pidas, pida, pidamos, pidan. Use it after suggestions and wishes (sugiero que pidamos más tiempo), after para que, and with cuando for future events. You also hear it in lo que pidas (whatever you ask for) and in usted and ustedes commands such as pida su turno. Pidamos also means 'let's order'.
Examples
Sugiero que pidamos una prórroga al cliente.
I suggest we ask the client for an extension.
Cuando pidas la cuenta, fíjate si incluye la propina.
When you ask for the check, see if it includes the tip.
Te doy lo que me pidas.
I'll give you whatever you ask for.
