How to use pedir in the conditional
The conditional is regular: pediría, pedirías, pediríamos, pedirían. Use it for advice (yo pediría una segunda opinión), polite plans and hypotheticals. Le pediría que... is a softer, very courteous way of making a request, common in emails: le pediría que nos envíe la factura. It also reports what someone said they would ask for. Like the future, it has no stem change, so pediría keeps the e.
