How to use seguir in the preterite

In the preterite, seguir changes e to i only in the third person: siguió, siguieron. The other forms are regular: seguí, seguiste, seguimos. Use it for following instructions or people at a specific time, and for continuing after an interruption: "Siguió hablando como si nada." This stem change pattern is shared with pedir and sentir.
