How to use aceptar in the imperfect

The imperfect is regular: aceptaba, aceptabas, aceptábamos, aceptaban. It describes past rules and policies (antes no aceptaban mascotas) and attitudes that lasted over time: mi abuelo no aceptaba ayuda de nadie. It is the natural tense for describing what used to be accepted before a change in policy, technology or mindset. The nosotros form aceptábamos carries a written accent.
