How to use continuar in the conditional

The conditional is regular: continuaría, continuarías, continuaría, continuaríamos, continuarían. Use it for hypotheses about continuing something (Con más apoyo, continuaríamos) and in reported speech: Dijo que continuaría en el cargo. It is a cautious way to talk about plans that depend on a condition. It also appears in advice, where it sounds less forceful than a direct recommendation: Yo continuaría con el plan actual.
